The Racquet Chair in Walnut and Nylon by Vestergaard Jensen for Peder Pedersen, 1955
A very rare and meticulously crafted solid laminated walnut frame Racquet chair. The seat and back are woven and hand strung nylon, similar to a tennis racquet weave. The round headrest is adjustable in height by a bronze ball strung with nylon through the back frame. Seat and back pillow are upholstered in a lustrous woven cotton. The chair is marked on back stretcher with the original Peder Pedersen cabinetmaker decal.
