The iconic JH 550 Peacock chair by Hans J. Wegner in an ash wood frame with teak arms and original papercord seat.
Designed in 1947 the chair is a feat of melding ergonomic and aesthetics, the flat part of the back rest, which gives it its peacock-like appearance, are placed where the shoulders would rest on the back. The name was coined by Finn Juhl when he first saw the chair and noticed its characteristic back.
