Lemon Yellow high fire glazed ceramic lamp by Lee Rosen for Design Technics, 1955/1967
Based on Rosen’s earlier 1955 ceramic form, the hand thrown ‘4300 Series’ of 1967 expanded the types of hand applied glazes with an enlarged palette of colors and glaze techniques. This particular unit, Model 4377 was ordered in a ‘Bright Glossy SG Yellow’ which commanded a 25% premium above other glazes and color combinations. The price premium was a limiting factor upon production thus reducing availability in today’s secondary marketplace. Sold with an installed custom Wyeth solid brass fitting consisting of a round rod hole cover, riser, double socket ball cluster each with a barrel chain pull, cluster extension with swivel, and knurled drum finial. Sold as illustrated WITHOUT shade.
