Dunbar drop leaf desk model No.5341 (1953) with trapezoidal wood top floating on a black enameled metal frame. Its book matched walnut top measures 54” wide with a depth that tapers from 30” down to 25” at the right edge where the drop leaf begins. The leaf when raised adds 14” of width and 24” of depth being level and firmly secure on the same plane as the top. Storage is accomplished by a wide, single pencil drawer of select grain mahogany along with a four drawer unit, also of select grain mahogany, resting beneath an open space set in the left oriented pedestal. The drawers within the unit are graduated in height each drawer having a curved, laminated mahogany drawer pull. A fine example from Wormley’s golden era of design
