Dining Chairs by Ole Wanscher for A.J. Iversen, 1962
Designed in 1962, this expertly crafted set of 6 (six) dining chairs by Ole Wanscher was built in the cabinet shop of A. J. Iversen of Brazilian rosewood in the 1960s. A graceful, minimal design consisting of only essential elements; a slight crest rail which extends slightly beyond the stiles above a centrally placed shaped back splat of equal proportions to the crest rail. The seat frame supported by four legs sans obstructing stretchers with the back legs displaying a rearward curve which accentuates the optics of its otherwise understated design.
