A three legged stool of solid Adirondack birch by the Hale Company of East Arlington, Vermont. Influenced by Mid-Nineteenth Century Shaker furniture and stools by the dean of American woodworkers, Wharton Esherick (Pennsylvania), of the 1930s-1950s. The club shaped legs are mortised and tenoned and splined to the stretchers as well as to the inch and one half thick, organically shaped, top.
